Contract Professor of “GIS-Communicate the hydro-meteorological risk” at University of Turin (Master of Science in Geography and Territorial Sciences) for the 2016/2017 academic year, Co-Founder and Scientific Director of TriM s.r.l.

PhD in Environment and Territory – Environmental Protection and Management at Polytechnic University of Turin, graduated in Civil Engineering at Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and Master in Environmental Sciences at University of Toulon (France).

Elena is an expert in hydrology, applied meteorology, disaster prevention and risk management. She has more than ten years of professional experience in the field of extreme weather risk modelling and validation, with a particular attention to the implementation of interdisciplinary approaches integrating environmental, social, economic and health analysis in order to adapt the environmental risk information to specific end-users requirements.

She has built her career working as a senior researcher and as an independent expert both at national and international level. Elena has collaborated with universities, international research centres and no-profit organizations and has been involved as senior expert and project manager in national, regional, EU and international financed projects.
